Boy Scout Troop 209 in Katy, Texas is turning 75! 

 There will be an Open House at the Deren-Huff Scout House on Sunday, January 18, 2015 from 4:00 PM until 5:30 PM.  The Dinner and Program will begin at 5:30 PM at St. Peter's United Methodist Church in Lott Hall.  Dinner will be $8 per Scout and $15 for Parent/Guest per person and can be paid with cash or a check made out to:  Troop 209.  You can pay for this at a Tuesday Troop meeting or at the door on January 18th.

Please note - Seating is very limited and we are asking only Scouts and their immediate family sign up for the Dinner and Program.  Everyone is invited to the Deren-Huff Open House prior to the Dinner.

Here is a perfect opportunity to earn service hours benefiting our Charter Organization. There are openings for servers from 5pm to 6:30pm and clean-up crew from 5:45pm to 7pm.

 - Sunday May 24th come out to join over 3000 volunteers placing individual flags on the graves of Veterans at the Houston National Cemetery. Click here for more details and to register

Eagle Scout Rank - Cooking Merit Badge 

Cooking merit badge will be required for the Eagle Scout rank starting on January 1, 2014. All Scouts who did not earn Eagle by the end of 2013 must complete the Cooking merit badge for Eagle, no matter when they started working on that rank.
